What makes someone think “I should start something completely new at 52?” Who’s cacamamie idea is this? That’s a question I inevitably ask myself a lot. So, I lean into what I know.

I’ve done decorating projectings, started a youtube channel, decided to move across the country, adopted a second dog, started painting the whole house, became a cookie artist, started an etsy store, and now starting a blog about what I know most – traveling to my favorite places.

But that is that point of enjoying being an empty nester. As our kids grow, learn and experience new jobs and skills- why shouldn’t we use our newly aquired time to jump head-first into new adventures as well? Well, some might be dip a toe and see what sticks… your kids will still be impressed that you tried and you can be proud of that.
